Website Wizard :: Find and Replace Tool

 

Find and Replace: Great for converting existing designed Web pages into the Plexum replicated system. Use this tool to search for text within HTML source and replace it. For example: search for http://www.yourdomain.com/contactus.html and replace with !URL !/contact.html .

 

 

You are able to create find and replace strings for each replicated website. First select the replicated website you wish to work with:

 

 

Click on add a New string

 

 

Notice slightly below the Add a New String title four tags links. Tags are pulled from existing created content. It's important to have content created before using this tool.

 

 

Adding strings to find an replace.

 

You can add up to 5 string. Enter the string that exist in the pre-design website.

 

 

For example:

 

Find What?

String 1: http://www.oldwebsite.com/contactus.html

String 2: http://www.oldwebsite.com/aboutus.html

 

Replace with...

String 1: !URL !/contactus.html

String 2: !URL !/aboutus.html

 

When the find and replace strings are defined every time you import a page into Plexum Website Wizard; Plexum will search for Find What? string and replace it with the defined Replace with... string.
